Hey y'all! I'm selling t-shirts to raise support for the World Race. They look like this:

I picked Acts 1:8 to be my t-shirt design because the first time I remember hearing about missions the pastor preached over Acts 1:8.

Acts 1:8 says But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

I remember hearing the pastor preach over Acts 1:8 and getting excited because we were located at the ends of the Earth that this verse is talking about. The pastor went on to explain that we can now use this verse to direct our lives in missions. If we know where our Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria are then we can go to the ends of the Earth. At the time our Jerusalem was like Kansas City. If we could be a witness to Kansas City then that would be fulfilling that part of the verse. And the Pastor explain what are church was doing to witness to Kansas City. Then he explained that our Judea was like the Midwest. He showed us what we were doing to witness to the Midwest. Then he explained that our Samaria was like the entire United States of America and how we are witnessing to them. Then he went on to explain "the ends of the earth."

Other versions of the bible say to the uttermost or the remotest parts of the Earth. If we take that to mean all of the unreached people groups then we know where we are suppose to go to be a witness. At the time my church had orphanages in Thailand and South Africa. We also did some mission work in Mexico. So we knew where our "ends of the Earth" was. 

At the end of the sermon the pastor asked us to think about going on missions to one of these locations. I remember being very fired up to go! I wanted to reach these people that the bible asked us to go witness to. I tired a couple of different times to go to Thailand and South Africa but it just didn't work out. So now I am excited to be fulfilling Acts 1:8!
