This month in Malaysia has been so wonderful. This is the first country where I felt like we were actually doing work for the Kingdom. This month we have been working with a homeless shelter. This homeless shelter also does many other things for the community. The day before we landed in Malaysia, Malaysia was hit with a really big Typhoon which caused a lot of flooding. Houses were destroyed, furniture was ruined, and families were left with nowhere to go. Our first day here we immediately started helping. The homeless shelter started collecting supplies and we packaged them into bags and then we went and delivered them to the victims of the flood. Most of these victims are Myanmar refugees. Here is a quick video of what this looked like:

Also this month we have been going out on the streets evangelizing with different people. On Thanksgiving I really didn’t want to do this because we already had a really long week and the week wasn’t over yet and since it was Thanksgiving everyone’s emotions were pretty high. I had to pray to God to let me find joy in this moment and to give me joy to continue on. As the morning went on and we started talking to different people at one point we ended up in this ice cream shop that specializes in vegan ice cream and waffles. We were the only ones in the shop so we started talking to the shop owner. His name is Jon and he is from Thailand but lives in Penang. Part of the proceeds of the ice cream shop goes to an orphanage in Thailand! He is also a Christian and worked for CRU for about 15 years. Some of that time he was in China. As we were talking to Jon he begins to tell us about his family and what do you know his oldest daughters name is Joy! His daughter, Joy, is trying to be a professional dancer and wants to dance ballet for a company in Japan that tells bible stories through dance. How cool is that?!? Jon talks about how they are trying to decide if this is the best decision for their family and asks for prayer of discernment and for financial help to pay for it. We tell him of course we would love to pray for him and then we take a picture with him.

As I am walking away I realize that God literally brought me Joy today! I didn’t realize that when I started the morning that when I asked the Lord to bring me joy and help me find joy in evangelizing that he would bring me someone named Joy but that is just how our Lord works. Isn’t he so cool like that!

As we finish out this month we have one last thing we get to do here. This weekend we are helping with a youth conference called FIREZ. FIREZ is about igniting a fire inside of generation Z. This conference will be a three-day long camp filled with worship, praise, sermons, games, food, and fellowship. Please be praying that the Lord will show up in big ways and that the youth will experience and encounter with the Lord.

The next time you will hear from me I will be in Thailand!! That means I only have a few more days to become fully funded!! If you feel called to donate go ahead and click the donate button up top. Love you all and thank you for your support.
