Sisay:

Place of origin- Ethiopia! Hence the stunning gorgeous skin tone. Now lives in Philo, Illinois.

Height – 5’6”

Hair color- fuzzy wuzzy Brown (its in the crayola box so obviously it’s a good color)

Eye color- Dark Brown eyes

Favorite color – she has two – pink and blue – so she’ll be set no matter what the gender of her future babes… 

Likes- Dolphins, Running, Broccoli, Sports clothing, and Bananas. (I was going to say my family but I don’t just like them, I love them.) 

What has the Lord grown you the most in on the race? Boldness

If you could only laugh in an animal sound which animal would you choose? Goat

Who on your race, outside of people on your squad, has made the most impact on you and why? My parents, they lead by example and they are always there for me. I know that I am here because the Lord has called me here but I was able to be obedient to that call because of the way that my parents live their life. My friends have also been really important to me, they are so supportive; they comment on my blogs, send me encouragement and things like that, it’s really cool! 

 

Emily :

Place of origin – Greenville, Alabama. Not the same as Forrest Gump. Don’t ask her…

Height – 5’8.5”

Hair color- Brown except for those few streaks of Grey that show her Einstein math capabilities.

Eye color-Brown, but not like poop, like the  kind you think of when you hear “brown eyed girl” beautiful. Gleaming.

Favorite color – dark teal

Likes- Math, it’s Ive Cream, Chocolate, Sprite, Chick-fil-a, more chocolate, more math. Basically just edible things and math.

What has the Lord grown you the most in on the race? My identity in the Lord

Favorite animal – it used to be a monkey but then I watched zootopia and now it’s a sloth

What was your favorite month of ministry and why? Greece, because I got to see a real life crisis and be apart of the solution. It was the first time I felt the Lord was calling me to something greater after the race, which right now means going back to camp. 

 

Savannah (AKA Sav):

Place of origin- Athens, Georgia. Not Savannah, GA. That’s where she went to school. Tread carefully…

Height – 5’6”

Hair color- Getting blonder everyday. But only in beauty, not in brains. 

Eye color- ?? Green Eyes and a heart of gold. ?? It’s a song. Look it up.

Q&A

Favorite color – Green – I love to wear green cause it brings out my eyes. Especially emerald green which is really convenient because that’s the color for me sorority

Likes- coffee, bread, running, strappy sandals, reading psychological thrillers (currently reading the girl on the train), French bulldogs – actually, I love French bulldogs, and Georgia Football (Go Dawgs!)

What has the Lord grown you the most in on the race? Emptying myself of my old self to make room for his Holy Spirit to fill me

If you could be any flavor of ice cream what would you be? Oreo blizzard from Dairy Queen.

What has been the hardest thing for you on the Race? Choosing to press into community even when I didn’t want to. 

 

Shannon:

Place of origin: Dallas, Texas. Don’t worry, she’ll tell you before you ask, probably within the first few seconds of meeting her and probably before you know her name.

Height – 5’9”

Hair color- Auburn. Not like the football team although it is pretty close the the color of a football

Eye color- Hazel. They change with the clothes she wears – cue sparkle

Favorite color – red but specifically maroon (Whoop!)

Likes- Texas, Politics, Studying the Bible, Tea (preferably black, iced & unsweetened), and Healthy food – but also I love Chick-fil-a

What has the Lord grown you the most in on the race? Gentleness

If you could have dinner with any historical figure living or dead who would it be? Ronald Reagan

What is the toughest thing you’ve had to walk through on the race? Watching a little girl pass away in Greece, it is so hard to watch Satan bring death and destruction but I’ve also learned so much about how the Lord has come to bring life and to bring it abundantly. The most incredible part about it is that he has chosen us to be his vessels for that. 

 

Marissa:

Basic facts

Height – 66 inches 

Hair color- Barely blonde. Because she doesn’t have a lot of it but man is it beautiful!

Eye color- Blue. Like a sapphire. No seriously. Trust us. They shimmer like that.

Place of origin: Wisconsin, so obviously she likes cheese.

Favorite color – Yellow – like a mellow yellow. Not the soda color though, like a chill yellow.

Likes- Coffee, good friends, baking desserts, eating desserts, and trying new things

What has the Lord grown you the most in on the race? My definition of ministry/missions

How much cheese do you consume in one year? How much is too much?!?

When was a time the Lord spoke to you? When the Lord woke me up and told me Isaiah 43:10. 

 

 

Sarah:

Height – 5’3”

Hair color- Strawberry Brown. Not quite a ginger. Not quite a brunette. 

Eye color- So blue that they are grey, like a silver eclipse?

Favorite color – Hot pink with sparkles

Likes- Oreos, Mizzou football, marching band, hanging out with friends, traveling (obviously… I mean we’re on the world race…)

If you could be two animals combined what would you be? I’d be a centaur. Half horse, half human

What would you like to see yourself grow in the most before you get home? Memorizing scripture
